This is one of our favourite books to read - ‘Little Spud’ by Marie Stell π
‘Little Spud is a little, friendly, blue dragon and he is like no other. He is on the autistic spectrum and sometimes life can be difficult. But then something happens - Little Spud finds how to shine his own light and his life changes.’
This lovely rhyming book shows children of all capabilities that they can shine - they just have to believe they have the light within them π«

Good luck to these amazing (and beautiful) humans receiving their GCSE results on Thursday. Never forget how amazing you are and no matter what, your exam scores don’t define you!
We feel honoured to have been a part of your journeys through high school and we’re very proud of you all! π
Break a leg to the whole cast and especially these wonderful Cous who are starring in ‘Bugsy Malone’ this week at the Grand Theatre π€
We can’t wait to watch you shine on that stage! πππ
Congratulations to Joseph, Evie, Catherine & Evie who had to patiently wait longer than expected for their LAMDA results. You all did amazing and we are so proud of you! ππΌπ
Huge congratulations to our Catherine who has successfully completed her Guide Dogs Speaker Training ππΌ
This lady really is the Dog Whisperer πΎ and is a Guide Dog Ambassador alongside running her own Kennels, but to be able to stand up and deliver a speech is testament to how hard she works in her Drama. We are very proud of you Catherine! π
It’s so good to be working with these young actors again. They starred in our production of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’ in 2019 both at the Grand Theatre Studio and at Blackpool Reform Synagogue. They are now working with our sister company @willow_theatre on ‘Blue Stockings’ π
We had our workshop auditions on Sunday for our next production, Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’. It was so lovely to have these 5 with us who were also in our first ever big show, ‘Press Start!’ back in 2018! It’s been a pleasure watching you all grow up! π₯°
ππΆπΉ LAMDA SLAM πΉπΆπ
Our showcase last week was a wonderful celebration of our 1:1 students who work so hard all year round. Congratulations to you all! Thank you to everyone who came to support and for Rachel and Michael at Blackpool Reform Synagogue for hosting us yet again. What a beautiful venue!
Huge congratulations to Annie who played a disgustingly brilliant Miss Trunchbull in Armfield Academy’s first ever production, ‘Matilda Jr.’ You were born to play the role!! Very strange for us being back in our old stomping ground and a stage we performed so many times on ourselves π₯°

Last year a lot of our students took part in BFLOC’s production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre. Directed by our very own Sophie, the show won the NODA award for Best Musical. Congratulations to all the cast and creative team on a wonderful win! ππ
We’re missing a few munchkins and some adult cast members but we all wanted to pose with the trophy! πͺπΌ
Thank you ππΌ
To all the local businesses who donated raffle prizes, everyone who bought raffle tickets, our students and families that attended the event and supported us on the night. To Papa Cou for the food, Mama Cou for all your help, Amy and Jason and the staff at the Wainwright, and of course Darren for entertaining us all evening! π
We had a great time celebrating Cou-Cou turning 9 and raised lots of money towards our next show (watch this space π). A big heartfelt thank you for your continued support π love The Cous xxx
I’m not sure where the time has gone but it’s been 5 years since our original run of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’. Now this production was something else ππΌ I’m so grateful to this cast for what they achieved π€
Busy day of LAMDA exams ππΆ
Congratulations to all our students who took exams today - you work so hard and should be very proud of yourselves. We certainly are! π

Olivia started her Cou-Cou journey back in 2017 at our after school club at Hawes Side Academy. She then joined our Lytham classes and later settled in our Monday evening group. Olivia has performed in many of our shows (big and small) and has just started her LAMDA journey this week π
