Our most recent production 'Nativity! The Musical' was a huge success at Marine Hall, Fleetwood. Our favourite festive film live on stage - what a brilliant time we had! Our 60+ strong cast of adults and children guaranteed a feel good and funny show full of yuletide joy!

With a cast of over 50, this sold-out show was pure magic! Based on Roald Dahl's marvellous story and the multi-award winning musical by Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin, 'Matilda Jr' was such.a fun show to produce. We are so proud of the young professional performers that we work with!

Putting on a Disney musical was a dream come true for us! Both Disney and Musical Theatre have always been a huge part of our lives so when we secured the rights for Disney's 'Aladdin Jr' the Musical, we were just buzzing. What a cast and what a show! We sold out most performances and it was a truly magical experience!

It took a while for us to get to the stage, but this play was certainly worth the wait. Originally planned for April 2020, and after several postponements due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we finally performed this comedy play in October 2021. We are so proud of all the cast for how hard they worked during some very challenging times. Teamwork certainly makes the dream work and 'Daisy Pulls It Off' was a huge success!

This production of 'The Diary of Anne Frank' was definitely our proudest moment to date. Selling out within weeks of being on sale, adding extra performances and then reprising the production at Blackpool Reform Synagogue, we were so honoured to have created something so special and moving. Thank you to our brilliantly talented cast and to those of you who came to support this beautiful adaptation of a heartbreaking true story.

Our debut production was a new children's musical by American company Beat by Beat Press. Something completely different, 'Press Start!' transported us inside the bright, pixelated world of video games with characters we all know and love, alongside an 8-bit soundtrack. Everything about this show was colourful! We are so proud of our debut production and of all our young cast!

This is one of our favourite books to read - ‘Little Spud’ by Marie Stell 💙 ‘Little Spud is a little, friendly, blue dragon and he is like no other. He is on the autistic spectrum and sometimes life can be difficult. 📢 Calling all bookworms and rebels! 📢 We loved our time working on ‘Matilda Jr’ 📚back in 2022. Here are some fascinating fun facts from the West End production 🤩 📖 At 4ft 4in tall, Matilda Wormwood is the smallest leading lady in the West End. 📖 The sound effect of the Crunchem Hall School bell played at the start of the production is a recording of the actual hand bell used by RSC front of house staff in Stratford-upon-Avon. 📖 The Blackboard moves 15.5 miles over the course of a year at a top speed of 1.5mph. 📖 The sound effect of the crying baby in the song ‘Miracle’ is a recording of Sound Designer Simon Baker’s youngest son. 📖 Miss Honey and Matilda enjoy cups of real hot tea on stage complete with milk and a biscuit at each performance during the song My House. 📖 All voice over commentary used in the production is voiced by the musical’s writer Dennis Kelly. 📖 The Crunchem Hall School badge that features on the children’s blazers is designed by Quentin Blake.Button -

Last year a lot of our students took part in BFLOC’s production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre. Directed by our very own Sophie, the show won the NODA award for Best Musical. Can you believe that yesterday was International Mermaid Day? 🤣🙏🏾🧜🏻♀️ How appropriate 🐚 So excited and grateful for all the interest since posting about our next show yesterday! The Little Mermaid will take place the week commencing the 17th February 2025 at The Marine Hall in Fleetwood. Whilst this isn’t a junior production and is the full scale musical, it will be a youth cast for all Cou-Cou students/members 21 years and under. Rehearsals will start later in the year (timetable to be confirmed).
